Milling Flour in Bhutan

24/01/2014 Leave a Comment

The people of Bhutan were always friendly. I was amazed at this woman’s generosity of letting me into her workplace and to take her photo. She spends all day in this shack, breathing in an incredible amount of dust. The mill is above a river and the current is used to move the large stone. She is needed to be there to add more materials and trouble shoot.
I think she thought I was crazy for wanting her photo. I showed her the photo on the small screen and she just shook her head (at the crazy tourist?).
