UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who voted. We didn’t win but there was a great show of support from the community. It gave everyone a chance to learn more about our program and organization.
A Vancouver company is holding a vote to determine where to send their charity dollars. My teen science program is one of the options! So I need your help…
They will give money to our parent organization (Science World) but the money is earmarked for the teen Future Science Leaders program. To vote:
- Vote for ‘Science World’ on the Facebook poll
- Tweet @car2goVancouver and tell them that you are voting for Science World
There doesn’t seem to be a restriction on the location of voters so please vote wherever you are.
Future Science Leaders is an enrichment program to inspire and challenge the top students to excel in science and technology. Receiving this money would help us maintain and improve the program. I first wrote about the idea for the program in 2010 and we are now in the third year of program delivery.
If you want to see some of their work and experience, please visit their web home. Some of the information from last year is on a different site (graciously maintained by the Open Science Federation). And the second year Engineering students made a video about their first VEX competition:
Any comments? Please play nice.
